Today’s Lamrim Quote (20 December 2013)

Ngawang Drakpa of Dagpo

Ngawang Drakpa of Dagpo (15th century)

“In brief, by understanding and meditating on the lack of true existence, grasping at true existence is overcome.
The wrong thinking that is incorrect attention is thereby overcome.
By overcoming it, attachment and so forth that are rooted in the view of self are overcome.
Then the karmas that they inspire are overcome.
Without karma you are no longer obliged to be born in samsara
And are certain to attain liberation.”

From Essence of Fine Speech – Stages of the Path to Enlightenment by Ngawang Drakpa of Dagpo
